The core value of functional nutrition is food is medicine. Our bodies were made to heal themselves. In fact, neither food, supplements or medicine heal our bodies, our bodies heal themselves by us being intentional in our lifestyle.
Functional Nutrition addresses the root of the problem as opposed to treating the symptom only. Functional nutrition and lifestyle are some of the best ways to attain better health. This approach is customized to each individual and does not have a one size fits all modality. Everyone is different and so are their needs.
Functional Nutrition looks at helping individuals attain health through nutrition by considering many aspects in the body such as lifestyle, environment, genetics and individual biochemistry.
WHAT DOES A FUNCTIONAL NUTRITION AND LIFESTYLE COACH DO?
A functional nutrition and lifestyle coach helps you uncover the root causes of your health issues. Not just by treating the symptoms, but by looking at your unique diet, environment, genetics, and lifestyle (sleep, stress, relationships).
The coach guides you in creating personalized, sustainable changes, using food as medicine. This can address inflammation, gut health, and chronic conditions for long-term health.
